MARTA LAMBERTINI - ARGENTINA
BORN 13 NOVEMBER

Marta Lambertini (born 13 November 1937 - death 25 march 2019) was an Argentine composer. She was born in San Isidro, Buenos Aires, and studied at the Universidad Catolica Argentina with Roberto Caamano, Luis Gianneo and Gerardo Gandini, graduating in 1972. She continued her studies in electroacoustic music in Buenos Aires, at the Centro de Investigationes de la Ciudad with Francisco Kröpfl, Gerardo Gandini, José Maranzano and Gabriel Brncic.

She has taught at various institutions: the National University of La Plata, the National School of Music, the Quilmes School of Fine Arts and at the Faculty of Music, Arts and Sciences of the Catholic University of Argentina since 1971. She is currently Consulting Professor and has been the Dean and Full Professor of the latter institution.

She is full member of the Nacional Academy of Fine Arts and of the Academy of Sciencies and Arts of San Isidro.

She has been awarded numerous national and international prizes for her works, Among them the First National Prize, the First Prize of the City of Buenos Aires, the APA Prize to the Trajectory, the National Fund of Arts in 1972 and 1975, and the Konex Prize in 1999.

BELINDA REYNOLDS - USA
BORN 13 NOVEMBER

Raised in a Texan Air Force family, Belinda Reynolds now considers herself an ‘adopted native’ of California. Her music has been performed by a number of organizations throughout the Americas and Europe and has been featured in such festivals and venues as Lincoln Center’s Great Performers Series, and Weil Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. Ms. Reynolds is also Vice-President of the acclaimed composers’ cooperative, Common Sense. 

Other than composing, Ms. Reynolds’ passion is music education. She is in demand nationwide work with schools and communities helping children learn to create music. Ms. Reynolds is also the creator of innovative music series, Custom Made Music. 

Published by PRB Productions, it is a collection of instrumental books geared for the student level player, with each piece ‘customized’ with a top performer/teacher to address a particular instrument’s repertoire. Ms. Reynolds is the Director of HeShe Music in San Francisco, a private studio that teaches composition and piano to both beginners and professionals. Her music is published by Dover, HeShe Music, Kithara Editions, and Les Productions d’OZ. Her recorded music can be found on the Albany, Innova, and Trance recording labels, among others.
