About the composer:

Marisa Manchado is, without a doubt, one of the most interesting composers of our time. One of the most amazing qualities of Manchado is his prodigious versatility, which ranges (to name two conventional "extremes") from electroacoustics - through orchestral, vocal and chamber music - to this subtle, seemingly simple, pianism so "satinist", sweet and mystical, which, however, hides the enormous enigma of the unfathomable difficulties of simplicity. Simplicity, which is the most indecipherable attribute of divinity (however it is understood): in mathematical metaphor, a point (that is, the absolutely inexistent extension) in which the whole of the Universe is contained.
