Miriam Kirby is an international cellist and also the co-founder of The Hague String Trio. Read more about her:

Miriam Kirby has lived and worked in England, Germany and the Netherlands. She studied with Joan Dickson at the junior department of the Royal College of Music where she won the concerto prize. Miriam took lessons for many years with William Pleeth and won a scholarship to study with Melissa Phelps at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she won the chamber music and cello sonata prizes.

Miriam continued her studies as a DAAD scholar with Johannes Goritzki at the Robert Schumann Hochschule in Düsseldorf. She has also had lessons with Robert Cohen and Shunske Sato. Miriam took part in master classes with Steven Isserlis, Ralph Kirshbaum, Dorothy De Lay, Menahem Pressler and the Tákàcs Quartet. In England she worked regularly with the English Chamber and Royal Philharmonic Orchestras. In Germany she was co-principal cello of the Deutsche Kammerakademie and since 1998 has been a member of the Residentie Orkest, The Hague. Miriam plays on a cello made by Bronek Cison in 1996.

MATILDE SALVADOR i SEGARA - SPAIN 

BORN 23 MARCH

Matilde Salvador i Segarra was a Spanish composer and painter. She was born and raised in Castellón de la Plana, Valencian Community. She was married to the composer Vicente Asencio (1908–1979).

She was a leading figure in promoting the culture and music of the Valencian Community. One of her most famous compositions was Homenatge a Mistral for solo guitar.

TERESA PROCACCINI - ITALY     

BORN 23 MARCH

Teresa Procaccini is a composer of a vast production, including operas, symphonic pieces, chamber works, symphonic band works and teaching works, which have been performed both in Italy and abroad.

After having been awarded her diploma in piano and organ (with Fernando Germani) and in composition (with Virgilio Mortari), in 1971 and 1972 she directed the Foggia Conservatory and up to 2001 she was composition teacher at the “Santa Cecilia” Conservatory in Rome. She has won national and international competitions and has held specialisation courses in composition at the Festival of Città di Castello, at the “Respighi” Academy in Assisi, at the International Masterkursen in Düren (Germany) and the Frentana Music Summer in Lanciano.

Her works have been published by Sonzogno, Edipan, Carisch, Bongiovanni, Curci, Zanibon, Leduc, Seesaw, Rugginenti, Scomegna, Pizzicato Helvetia, Wicky, Carrara, Berbén, Eleutheria.
